Sectional center facility

A Sectional Center Facility (SCF) - A Processing and Distribution Center (P&DC) of the United States Postal Service (USPS) that serves a designated geographical area defined by one or more three-digit ZIP Code prefixes.

SCF -

1. A presort level in which all pieces in the bundle or container are addressed for delivery within two or more three-digit ZIP Code prefixes served by the same sectional center facility (SCF).
2. An abbreviation used on mail container labels that identifies the contents as SCF mail (i.e., the ZIP Codes on the mail are served by the SCF).
